Quick answers on the space, booking and access.
- How many guests can the studio hold?
- Up to 40.
- Is the studio accessible? Is there an elevator?
- Located on the 4th floor of a historic building, the studio is accessible via stairs only (not ADA compliant; no passenger elevator). Freight elevator access for equipment load-in can be arranged in advance upon request.
- How much does it cost?
- $109/hr for events, parties and general use. That is at least 15% less than the $130/hr marketplace rate. Photo, video and podcast production is $70/hr, at least 15% less than the $85/hr marketplace rate.
- Is there a minimum booking?
- Yes. Every booking is at least 4 hours.
- Do I pay a deposit?
- Only for bookings of 6+ hours, or with a barber or bartender. That is a $300 refundable deposit up front, with the balance due before the booking. The deposit also covers damage. Shorter bookings with no add-ons pay in full.
- What is the cancellation policy?
- 72+ hours out, you get a full refund, including the deposit. Under 72 hours, the deposit is non-refundable. Under 12 hours, the deposit is forfeited and there is a $250 late-cancellation fee.
- Can I add a barber or bartender?
- Yes. A barber is $100/hr or $40 per person, for men's and short cuts. A bartender is $60/hr per bartender, with a 4-hour minimum. One bartender covers a full house.
- How do I get in?
- Keyless entry. For security, we send access details and the entry code the day of your booking.
- How fast do you confirm?
- Quickly, and always within 24 hours. We send a secure payment link with the confirmation.
- How late can we stay?
- Standard bookings run until 3:00 AM; please contact us directly if your production requires extended hours.
- Is it quiet?
- Inside, yes. The studio is high up and the floor stays quiet. On game and event days you will hear the crowd and vendors on Occidental Ave S through the old windows. Heavy curtains and similar treatments can be arranged for recording.
- Is there parking?
- Street parking is located nearby.
- Is there a restroom?
- Yes, a restroom is available on-site.
